Jordan Heights Geocache Adventure

What is Geocaching?

Geocaching is an outdoor treasure hunting game using
GPS-enabled devices. You navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then
attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location.

What Am I Looking For?

The Jordan Heights Geocaches come in a variety of shapes, but many of them are quite small and well hidden. They range from a 35mm film canister to a Quality Street Tin.

What Do I need?
1. A GPS or GPS enabled smart phone

2. An “Find Me” Sheet

3. A Pen

4. A Cheat Sheet

How does it work?

On your “Find Me” sheet is a set of 10 grid references. Each one of these will take you to the area where a Geocache is hidden. You need to find that Cache using he clue provided.

Once you have found that cache, open it up, hidden in it will be some numbers. Write those numbers down in the box that matches the cache you have found. Make sure you put it in the right box, as once you have
found all 10, these numbers will form your last cache co-ordinates in which you will find some hidden treasures.

Once you have written down the numbers, please put the cache back EXACTLY where you found it for the next person to find.

If you are struggling to find a cache, then the cheat sheet shows you a photograph of the location the cache is hidden with a longer description.

What do I do when I find the Final Cache?

Jordan Heights would like every group that’s finds the final cache to leave a group name badge in the cache, in the plastic bag. Feel free to browse through all the other name tapes to see who else has found the cache but please do not take them out of it.

You may find there are other treasures in the cache, if there is something you would like to take with you then do, but the rule is for everything you take out you must put something back in its place. Nothing
perishable please.

Sheets and information are free please contact Warden or booking secretary
